Showreel
A showreel is a short montage of a studio's or creator's best work, usually under two minutes. It is a calling card for capability, not a case study of one project.
What it means in practice
A showreel answers one question: can you pull it off technically and visually? It does not answer whether you understand our business, will hit the deadline or are pleasant to work with. So never pick a production company on the reel alone.
Our experience is that one solid case study with numbers convinces a client more than a three minute reel of pretty shots. The reel shows what we can film; the case study shows what it did for the client.
