We write, direct and edit video under one roof. We have shot for GOSPACE LABS, PEKAT VISION, KUKA, TRIFFT and three SlovakiaTech conferences in a row.
Why NORDLYS?
Technology companies usually have a better product than they can explain. Our job is to translate it into a video an outsider understands: what it does, who it is for and why it beats what they use today. NORDLYS is Norwegian for the northern lights, and that is the only poetry you will find on this site.
We don't start with a camera, we start with what the video has to do: win an investor, explain the product at a trade fair or sell in an online store. That answer decides the format, the length and the budget. If a video won't get you there, we say so and propose what will.
Who is behind the studio
The studio is led by Filip Ferianec, its creative and production lead in one person. He writes the concept, directs on set and oversees the final cut, so a question about your project is answered by the person who shot it.
We are a small studio and that is your advantage. You talk directly to the person making your video, not to an account manager. The budget goes into production instead of middle layers, and you get an answer to your email within 24 hours.

How a collaboration runs
Kick-off workshop and the brief
We go through the business, the customer and the numbers. You leave with a one-page brief both sides sign.
Script, storyboard and the shoot day
You approve the script and storyboard before the shoot. Filip directs on set, not a coordinator.
Edit and feedback
Rough cut on a private link, notes against timecodes. A report every Friday and replies within 24 hours.
Handover and 30 days of support
Masters in 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1, with the handover scope agreed up front to fit you. A month after launch we tune and fix, on us.
