Video production
Post-production
Post-production is everything that happens to a video after the shoot: editing, colour, sound, captions, graphics and exporting for each platform. It usually takes longer than the shoot itself.
What it means in practice
Clients often price video by shoot days, but for corporate video post-production is routinely half to two thirds of the work. A single shoot day can mean a week of editing once several versions for several platforms come out of the same material.
Where you can actually save: agree the number of revision rounds up front and approve in one pass instead of five emails. An endless trickle of small changes is the most common reason post drags on and the final invoice stops matching the first estimate.
